Anyone who's dabbled in water colours can attest to how difficult they can be to master. Unless, of course, your intention is to paint one giant wet splodge.

Russian artist Olga Inoue may be an exception to the rule, however, since her brushstrokes sweep across the page so subtly and precisely that it looks like she has no trouble at all with the pesky paints. Instead, she creates images of nature's forgotten fauna – sloths, owls, and lemurs, for example – plus sweet scenes of people playing and a garden's worth of colourful plants. Pop by her online store, My White Room, to pick up some prints for your wall, along with the odd handmade brooch, earring and necklace, too.
