Feeling charitable? Then perhaps you’d like to fire up the oven, do a little baking and raise some moolah for seriously ill kids. All you need to do in order to take part is register your baking event (be it a casual morning tea or a full-blown cake sale) through the Bake-A-Wish website, invite your pastry-loving pals along, and collect coins in exchange for your delicious baked treats. Registration is free, there’s no fundraising minimum, and your cashola will go towards making wishes come true for children and teenagers with a life-threatening medical condition – and what could be more worthwhile than that? Oh, and you can hold your event whenever suits you. Here’s to happy times in the kitchen – and happy times in your belly, too.
