Portugal. We love you for your delicious custard tarts, your white sandy beaches, your knack for turning sardines into salty morsels of seafood heaven, and now, for illustrator Joana Rosa Braganca. Hailing from the town of Olhão, she dabbles with drawing, printmaking, photography and even 3D sculpture, but our favourite bit of prettiness is her series of illustrated Portuguese bathers on the beach. Sipping on Shiraz in the sun while tinkering with a tambourine? It beats an Earl Grey at our desks, we must admit.
