italian cream cake with coconut and pecans
This rather elegant dessert is topped with smooth, super-sweet frosting.
The three layers that make up this eye-pleasing cake may be chock-a-block with tasty pecans and coconut, but it’s the delightfully rich cream cheese frosting that takes the… uh, cake. At least, that’s what Heather Baird from Sprinkle Bakes reckons. And she should know – her family came across this Italian cream cake recipe way back in the ‘70s (and later sold it to an impressed co-worker). Pop over to Heather’s website to test it out for yourself.
