Each painting takes him two years to complete (and that’s working eight hours a day).

You could spend a lifetime gazing at Ikeda Manabu’s artworks and probably not find all the details. The Japanese fellow spends two years creating each piece (working eight hours a day with pen and ink on paper), and builds them up in blocks (usually one four-inch block per day). Funnily enough, Manabu doesn’t even know how they’ll look until they’re finished, which must make his personal creative journey a pretty exhilarating one. Check out more of his stuff on this website.
