Keep that noggin warm this winter!
Beanies are an absolute must when the temperatures drop, whether you're hiking in the elements or simply cursing your weak little heater while sitting on your couch. For this noggin-warming project, we used Bendigo Woollen Mills’ ‘Elixir’ yarn, which you can grab 10% off with a frankie discount (until August 30, 2025).

HOW TO
Knitted in the round from the bottom up
Choose which size beanie you’ll be making: small adult (large adult). Then, using 6.50mm needles and CC, cast on 64 (68) sts evenly onto 3 needles and join to work in the round, being careful not to twist your stitches. Place a marker to indicate beg of round.
1st Round: Change to MC, *K1, P1, rep from * to end.
Rep 1st round until beanie measures 27cm (31cm) from beg.
TO SHAPE CROWN
Next Round: *K2tog, rep from * to end. 32 (34) sts.
Knit 3 rounds.
Next Round: *K2tog, rep from * to end. 16 (17) sts.
Break off yarn, thread end through rem sts, draw up tightly and fasten off securely.
TO MAKE UP
Sew in ends. Attach pom pom to top of beanie if desired. You can make a pom pom using a homemade or a purchased pom pom maker.
