hear from some of australia’s best musicians (for nix)

This year's BIGSOUND festival is completely free.

If you’ve ever been lucky enough to score a ticket to BIGSOUND, you’ll know it’s one of the best places to discover new music and hear important industry conversations. And while the annual festival usually takes place in Brisbane, things are a little different this year (you can thank COVID for that).

The good news: events kick off tomorrow, and most importantly, it’s all free and happening online. The bad new: due to border closures, live gigs aren’t part of the program. You can, however, hear from a bunch of talented artists who’ll be speaking on panels and holding key-note talks. There’s a rad showcase of Aboriginal and Torres Stait Islander artists, for example, a panel on procrastination, a discussion on what Aussie music looks like in 2020 – and that's just naming a few.
