Mexican artist Gabriel Dawe has created a rainbow you can follow all the way from beginning to end – and while there’s no guarantee there’ll be a pot of gold up for grabs, at least you’ll be privy to a whole lot of beauty.

Made from 100 kilometres of string woven back and forth from ceiling to floor, the intricate thread sculpture results in some pretty incredible light and colour patterns. If you happen to be over U.S. way between now and July 10, 2016, you can gaze at it in the flesh at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington D.C. – the technicolour artwork is displayed as part of a larger exhibition, called Wonder. (And if this piece is anything to go by, it’s been named very accurately indeed.)
