These beauties have been designed by local artists with a little bit of inside knowledge about their hometowns, but just in case you need some extra fodder for your message, we've dug up a few more fascinating facts.

VICTORIA:
The first ever set of traffic lights was installed in Melbourne.
Melbourne was originally named 'Batmania' after John Batman, who founded the first settlement on the Yarra River.
SOUTH AUSTRALIA:
SA is the only state in Australia where a milk beverage outsells Coca-Cola.
Adelaide has the nickname 'the 20 minutes city', because (surprise!) it's said that any point in the city can be reached with a 20-minute period.
NEW SOUTH WALES:
Sydney was in the Guinness Book of Records for producing the longest line of pizzas (221 metres worth!).
In Sydney they have an annual Duck Fashion Show.
QUEENSLAND:
The world's longest mail run is from Cairns to Cape York, sitting at 1,450km.
Queensland is said to have some of the oldest known dinosaur tracks on the planet.
WESTERN AUSTRALIA:
As well as being the most isolated capital city in the world, Perth is the sunniest.
The largest city park in the world is King's Park in Perth.
NORTHERN TERRITORY:
Alice Springs is said to have the highest number of art galleries per capita in Australia.
It's also the most central Australian town to every beach in the country.
TASMANIA:
Supposedly Holland is the home of tulips, but they actually import tulip bulbs from Tasmania.
AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY:
You might not expect it, but Canberra has fewer politicians per capita than any other state or territory.
