frankie christmas wishlist – caitlyn bendall
If you’re in need of some last-minute gift ideas, our design whiz is here to help.
Only two weeks to go until we’re all merrily stuffing our faces with festive feasts and exchanging pressies with loved ones. To see out the frankie Christmas wishlists for another year, our talented designer Caitlyn has gathered up all the pretty bits and pieces that she’d be stoked to receive from Santa on the big day. (And if you missed any of our previous 2022 wishlists, head here.)
Clockwise from top-left:
1. This year I’ve noticed that I own a good number of fun-patterned bottoms, but they’re mostly pants. I really want to increase my variety of skirts (sorry not sorry for this lame pun) with this Variety Hour one.
2. Peychi’s face vases are somehow ridiculously emotive. They also always sell out quickly! This one is currently giving me the feels.
3. I have a lot of prints, yet I still need more. (The trick is to only get small ones so that even more will fit.) This 'We Are Out of Office' print seems fitting.
4. I have gotten into the habit of not changing out my earrings after comfort dressing for so long, but if I get my hands on these pearlers from Made by Maddie’s new collection, I think I could make them work – even with trackie dacks.
5. Ask anyone in the office and they’ll tell you that I am perpetually cold. Because of this I’m often wrapped in a blanket, but it’s not the coolest look going around (feel free to help me make it a trend). I’m hoping this Seljak Brand blanket might make me a tad less daggy.
6. I’m a big believer in dressing for the opportunities that you want, except with things rather than outfits. For example, if I own this stylish July suitcase then I WILL go on many wonderful travelling adventures next year.
7. Do I love or even like pickles that much? No. Do I laugh every time I see this sticker? Yes. As Marie Kondo says: “It sparks joy so I must have it.” Or something like that, right?
8. Every summer my family completes a jigsaw puzzle over five days of holidaying. I contribute little to the actual piece-placing, so I like to choose the puzzle. It’s my secret mission to find ones that also act as conversation starters, and there’s nothing like testing your parents’ openness by making them stare closely at naked bodies.
9. Where I live is good, but it would be greatly improved if everything felt a bit more like living in a cloud. I can’t paint the walls, but adding this resin side table from Clouding Over should get it pretty close.
10. This fanny pack by Sticky Lemon might be intended for children, but I need it to house all of my scroggin while I’m out on a Wes Anderson-style hiking dream, please and thank you.
11. I just couldn’t go past a bucket hat whose colour is ‘Bubble O’Bill’ and that is made of corduroy. Get it on my head immediately.
