Some people knit, others garden. NYC artist Juan Fontanive makes flip books. Extremely classy flip books, mind you – more like short films without video; a sequence of moving images using recycled clock works and bicycle parts to keep them going. His latest piece, Ornithology, is a bit of a delight to behold, as is a dig through his online archive of animated sculpture. So many fun moving bits and pieces! And illustrated birds flying through the air!
