finders keepers brisbane is on this week
A big three days of independent makers, plus our live panel discussion 'chinwags with frankie'.
Brissie folks, the Finders Keepers market is rolling into town as of this Friday, and we’ll be there for all the fun, too. In addition to all the rad makers and pretty trinkets you’ll get to gawp at, we’ll be hosting another ripper panel discussion about doing what you love at 'chinwags with frankie'.
You might remember us announcing 'chinwags' a little while back – essentially, we want to help super-clever local makers share their knowledge. So, whether you spend your nights making stuff in your spare bedroom or run a small business doing what you love, we think you’ll appreciate hearing the lineup of creatives share their wins, advice and frustrations.

So without further ado, meet our lovely panellists who'll be chatting away on stage:
Saturday June 22nd
Claire Ritchie – This maker of cheerful textiles prints and stitches her range of artwork and homewares from a studio in Brisbane. Claire hopes her thoughtfully created items help us to shop more carefully and for higher quality goods.
Love Mae – This Byron-based business makes dinnerware, lunch boxes and wall decals for the young at heart. They’re passionate about low impact manufacturing, too, with everything in their line being 100 per cent biodegradable or readily recyclable.
Paper Boat Press – Artist and poet Kylie Johnson divides her time between writing and creating a whimsical range of ceramic accessories. As well as making one-off vessels featuring original poetry, she also produces small stationery ranges and lovingly crafted brooches, earrings and ornaments.
Jericho Road Clothing
Sunday June 23rd
Jericho Road Clothing – Sisters Kate and Chloe first started Jericho Road in 2016 to inject a bit of fun into the fashion market. With their trademark Australiana prints and colourful designs, the business has quickly gone from a ‘spare room’ operation to a fully-fledged brand (with a warehouse and all).
Erin Lightfoot – Drawing on Art Deco and Bauhaus movements, artist and designer Erin Lightfoot has made a name for herself with her geometric porcelain jewellery and vases. Erin is a big believer in objects being both useful and beautiful.
Busy Head – As you might have guessed from glancing at her jewellery, designer Therese Smith wants her designs to make your ears happy. She draws, prints and crafts each pair bold botanical and animal-inspired earrings from her studio in Brisbane.
Hope to see you there pals! We’ll also be heading down to the Melbourne Finders Keepers market in July to keep chatting with more kick-arse local creatives.
