feast your eyes on the jaw-dropping rainbow valley
Somewhere over the rainbow.
If you’ve ever wondered what’s at the end of the rainbow, we’re here to set the record straight: it’s not gold, it’s Northern Territory’s Rainbow Valley. This awesome pocket of natural beauty is a national conservation area located about 75 kilometres south of Alice Springs/Mparntwe, made up of soaring cliff faces and ancient rock formations. It gets its name from the spectacle of coloured light that sweeps across the majestic natural structure in the early morning, creating a kaleidoscope of ochre red, orange and purple. If that sounds pretty rad to you – or, you know, just plain pretty – you can find out more about Rainbow Valley on Northern Territory’s website.
