etsy #makeforgood campaign
Are you a maker with an urge to do a little good for the world?
Are you a maker with an urge to do a little good for the world? The kind folk at Etsy have launched a campaign called #makeforgood that will not only help you get the word out on your products, but also raise some much-needed money for girls living in poverty.
With their focus firmly on females in developing countries who lack access to finances, education and even basic rights like good health and safety, the aim is for Etsy sellers all over the globe to join forces and help break down some barriers. All you have to do is create a product inspired specifically by the theme ‘silver linings for girls’ – it’s open to your interpretation and can be a whole new product or just a tweak on an old fave.
From there, a chunk of the sale price will be donated to Plan International’s Because I Am A Girl movement, which is pretty excellent, don’t you think? Etsy will be doing their part to lend a hand too, donating all their commissions to the campaign.
There are also chances to win a trip for two overseas, but you can find out all about that and the rest of the important details over on the Etsy website. Happy making, lovely frankites!
