candy cane cookies
Candy canes seem to pop up everywhere this time of year, and we've never worked out what to do with the abundance of them we're left with post-Christmas. Until now.
And so, just like that, Christmas is over. The wrapping paper is lying in piles by the stairs, the leftovers have all been devoured and goshdarnit, the eggnog has finally run dry.
But we bet there's one thing you still have an abundance of: candy canes. These delightful morsels of sugar-high-inducing goodness seem to pop up everywhere this time of year, and we've never worked out what to do with them.
Until now.
The Faux Martha's 'Christmas in a cookie' recipe calls for crushed peppermints, but we reckon candy canes would do even better in their place. Which will mean even more eating. But hey, at least we're not being wasteful, right?
