akihio's miniature worlds

This is a far cry from the shoebox-turned-underwater-scenes we made in year six science class.

Akihiro Morohoshi's dioramas are a far cry from the shoebox-turned-underwater-scenes we made in year six science class. Granted, he's an experienced model railway artist, not a slightly greasy kid who fumbles with their scissors, but still – we're pretty darn impressed.

Akihiro builds his miniature models atop and inside various everyday objects - a matchbox, a Pringle container, a lunchbox, and even an electric guitar. And he's not leaving anything out, either; his pint-sized pieces include teeny-tiny details, all the way down to flower petals and dusty windowsills on trains.

Gaze in awe at more of Akihiro's miniature worlds on his website, here.
