diy fabric watches

OK, so they don’t really tell the time – but wouldn’t it be handy to have a timepiece that’s always set to the hour of lunch? These DIY fabric watches are also just plain cute, and can be stitched up in only a few minutes with some colourful scraps of fabric.

Brittany Watson Jepsen, the Southern Californian lady who came up with the clever design, opted for Liberty of London florals to make her wrist adornments, but you’re free to use whatever fabric you like. You might even like to take the chance to recycle some old bed sheets, or a sweet patterned tea towel that’s looking a wee bit tatty. Then everybody wins. Even the linen.
