women photographers document life during a pandemic

By

It's been a crappy few months for photographers since the coronavirus hit. So, housebound and with few job opportunities, the Women Photograph community began discussing ways to keep everyone feeling connected and inspired. They came up with WP – The Journal, a place for over 400 women photographers to document their life during lockdown. Each week, the team posts snaps from around the world, curating collections by themes such as self-portrait, nature and connection. The resulting scenes might feel like slices from your own life: neighbourhood walks, long baths and home haircuts are familiar to everyone who's been cooped up at home. Lately the team has also turned its lens to the ongoing Black Lives Matter protests, plus other demonstrations against police brutality in Mexico and Brazil, which you can see in full over at @wpthejournal.
