see indigenous fashion and textiles on the telly

The annual Country to Couture show at Darwin’s Aboriginal Art Fair usually draws fashion aficionados from all over for its eye-popping showcase of Indigenous labels and textiles. Well, that was until COVID threw a spanner in the works. Despite the restrictions, the team put on a digital show in late 2020, and if you missed it the first time, you're in luck: the entire thing is being broadcast on NITV tonight. You’ll be treated to a lush parade of designs by Indigenous businesses including Liandra Swim and Anindilyakwa Arts, as well as collaborations between Indigenous communities and Australian labels such as North. Tune into NITV at 7pm AEST tonight to catch the show or head to Indigenous Fashion Projects on Facebook to watch online.
