magpie goose’s new collection tells aboriginal stories

By

Brisbane label Magpie Goose has teamed up with four ace Aboriginal artists to deliver their latest collection of summery duds, ‘Neon Reef’. Each artist tells their own unique story through their bright designs: Uncle Noel Blair’s art is all about the animals and totems of Jinibara country; Jason Murphy explores Indigenous identity; Aunty Madge Bowen delves into her connection to Country; and Gertie Deeral depicts how the bush can reveal which foods are in season (fun fact: if the wattle is in bloom, it means the local seafood will be extra-tasty).

The collection is the first to be dropped since Magpie Goose became an Aboriginal-owned and led business in early 2021, and we reckon new owners Amanda Hayman and Troy Casey have done a top-notch job. Spy their full range of fun duds (including jumpsuits, tanks, tees, dresses and even a couple of cute pieces for tots) over here.
