cristina coral captures the beauty within four walls
It’s hard to look at Cristina Coral’s artfully made photos without viewing them as some sort of comment on our current condition. The lonely-looking images, with their subjects listlessly draped over furniture or staring into space, could very well be portraits of us in isolation (albeit in some spiffy digs). You might be surprised then to find out the Italian photographer began her ongoing series ‘Room Stories’ back in 2013. Interested in communicating the relationship between people and their surroundings, Cristina’s mysterious shots could have been plucked straight out of an arthouse thriller.
