closet mod takes it back to the ’60s

By

Always fancied getting about in retro prints and go-go boots, but can’t be bothered sifting through vintage listings? Adelaide label Closet Mod can definitely help you with the former. Since 2012, the little business has been making new duds that look straight out of Carnaby Street: paisley pussy bow blouses, zip-up playsuits, and fun shift dresses. Designer Jordan Bishop became obsessed with the ’60s while doing a course in costumes for film and theatre, and pretty soon after, started selling groovy handmade designs at markets. Since then, she's opened an online store and created a number of exclusive eye-catching prints for Closet Mod, though not much else has changed about the way she works. Everything is still made to order by either Jordan or local seamstresses. Pretty cool, hey? Swing by the Closet Mod Insta to see more.
