Bit by bit our stash of ceramics is heading towards 'crazy collector lady' status, but we're willing to look a little loopy for the sake of Ruby Pilven's porcelain creations.
They're made using a Japanese technique called Nerikomi, where different coloured clays are layered together to create bright and utterly sigh-worthy patterns. The pieces are then finished off with spots and stripes (and the occasional potty-mouthed slogan) painted in 12-carat gold. If you like what you see, you can find more from the Ballarat ceramicist here.
Lovely snaps from Den Supply Co and Lunar Store.
