When pottering around the garden, the last thing we want is a splodge of soil or a sharp rock making its way into our shoe and dampening our sock or stabbing our foot. The audacity!
To prevent such a terrible scenario from occurring, we prefer to wear slip-on kicks, so all soil splodges and rock fragments can be flung across the yard with ease, if need be. Hence, clogs are our gardening shoe (and around-the-house shoe, and running-errands shoe…) of choice.
We’re particularly taken with Merry People’s colourful, comfortable Billie clogs.
