No indie-pop album is complete without a break-up song, a slow ballad, and a rebellious, fuck-the-system-esque track. Perth outfit Joan & The Giants have covered all of these bases and more in their debut EP, Me & You, so naturally, we cannot get enough.
The five-track album opens with the anti-capitalist bop “The Weekend” and closes with a super-sweet tune titled “Centerfold”, which just so happens to reference Blink 182’s “I Miss You". (We approve of all references to Jack, Sally and pop-punk icons, thank you.) Tune into the album below and head along to the EP launch if you're in the Perth area this Friday.
