From her role as one half of the beloved indie electronic group The Naked and Famous, Alisa is now flexing her musical muscles and going whole-heartedly out on her own with her debut album Slow Crush. A cascading journey of ethereal longing and intimate snapshots, Slow Crush is the perfect collection of tunes to listen to as you walk around the backstreets of your neighbourhood at dusk – headphones in, world zoned out.
Describing the album as “the catharsis I needed to push me into this next chapter where I could simply be ‘Alisa Xayalith’,” it’s clear that Alisa is pretty darn great at being herself.
