Despite being only a hop, skip and jump away by plane (so maybe that's a flap, float and glide, if we're being finicky), there's a whole lot of New Zealand-based musical talent that manages to fly under our radar for far too long. Take Stephanie Brown, for instance – a pretty spiffy keyboard player with a soft spot for vintage synths, who's whipped up some pretty tunes and now goes by the name of Lips. True to the moniker, the mysterious lass spends much of her time trotting about with a giant set of smackers on her head, but she's got a brand new EP out and we think it's quite sublime. Have a squiz at the dance-filled clip to the left to get a taste for yourself, and if you like what you hear, check out her website for more.
