Having looked through the Metropolitan Museum of Art's online historical underwear collection, we are now dedicated to bringing back the polka dot 'pantaloon' and enormous gym 'bloomers' of yesteryear – err, they can keep the bone-crushing corsets and crinoline cages, though. With over 1000 images, this archive is quite a time-suck, but in the most delightful way. Now we know what's going on underneath, we're watching historical dramas and docos in a whole new way.
