We think mums are the best and should be celebrated all year round, but when their special day pops up on the calendar it calls for a little extra love and appreciation. If you're lucky enough to be in the same city today, follow the Scissor Sisters' advice and take your mama out, even if it's for a soul-warming cup of oolong instead of the bottle of cheap champers they suggest. After all, a day out without a dusty head the next morning is the gift that keeps on giving.
