Music festivals are a time to find your new favourite band, dance in a ginormous sludge puddle, wear an animal-themed onesie completely shame-free, and, as it so happens, get your grubby hands stuck into some arts and craft.

We're tickled pink to be presenting the very first Splendour in the Craft, a puntastic space at the mammoth Splendour in the Grass festival where you can play with pompoms, paper and other crafty doodads in a series of free workshops and activities.

Want to pimp your tent or make a tote with creative whizzes like Beci Orpin? You can even replace your mucky duds at a treasure hunt trunk or frock swap, or take some time out from the tunes at a makeshift magazine library (may we suggest some spiffy reading material in frankie issue 54?). Plus, we'll be running a series of Crafternoon Bandcamp Sessions featuring guest crafters from Splendour lineups past and present. It's a music/making craftstravaganza!

The whole shebang will be running in Byron Bay from July 26 to 28, but in the meantime keep your eye on the Splendour in the Craft website for all the deets.
