Welcome to another wonderful week, full of Game of Thrones hysteria, issue 59 anticipation and plenty of top-notch creativity to get your minds buzzing and hands making.

Welcome to another wonderful week, full of Game of Thrones hysteria, issue 59 anticipation and plenty of top-notch creativity to get your minds buzzing and hands making.

While we're talking crafty hands, last Friday the winners of the Reginald CAE Portrait Prize for Softies were announced at a special finalist event in Melbourne, and boy, were there some bang-on softie replicas. The idea was simple: whip up a stitched and stuffed version of your favourite person or pet, send it through and you might get lucky.

Twelve finalists were chosen from the influx of entries, and it was up to judges Pip Lincolne and Cat Rabbit, frankie ed Jo Walker and the crafty-loving, online-voting public to select the winners of each prize. And just who were those winners? Drumroll please...

MAIN REGINALD PRIZE (TOP LEFT):
Bjork and the Swan by Dainy Sawatsky

PEOPLE'S PRIZE (TOP RIGHT):
Funny Lady Sutra (Judith Lucy) by Julie Ramsden

FRANKIE PRIZE (BOTTOM):
Mr Hockney by Sandra Eterovic

A big thanks to everyone for their entries – what a talented bunch you are! The finalists will be on show at CAE's Degraves Street space until April 14th, and we definitely recommend stopping by for a peek.
