Glitzy frock? Check. Glamorous hair and makeup? Check. Spaceship? Check check. You’re now ready for Rachel Burke's Trash N Treasure Planet Prom. Rachel, the out-of-this-world designer behind @imakestagram, is putting on a rad, extra-terrestrial fashion show on September 29th at The Paint Factory as part of Brisbane Fashion Week.
The show will feature 18 looks made from deadstock and repurposed fabrics (like tulle and Rachel’s signature textile, tinsel). Some of the materials used to create the garms were even donated by Rachel's Instagram followers. Pretty cool, eh?
Planet Prom attendees are invited to dress for the occasion by donning their best prom-style outfit with an alien twist. All prom-goers will receive a cute badge on arrival, and will enter the draw to win an ace tinsel jacket. Yippee! Aside from the runway show, the prom will have punch, a photobooth, and a spot for attendees to partake in a little bit of slow-dancing. If you’d like to join in on the fun, snap up a ticket here.
