meet hindi zahra
If we had to choose a musician to soundtrack a voyage across mountains, through caves and into the bustling markets of Marrakech, Hinda Zahra would be at the top of our playlist.
With So Frenchy So Chic in the Park popping up in Melbourne and Sydney over the coming week, we thought it an apt time to introduce you to Hindi Zahra – one of the musical Frenchies you’ll find on the bill.
Hailing from Morocco but spending her grown-up years in Paris, the talented chanteuse combines the ethereal, dreamier sides of pop with the hypnotic sounds of her north African homeland (and probably not-so-coincidentally Homeland happens to be the title of her second record).
If we had to choose a musician to soundtrack a voyage across mountains, through caves and into the bustling markets of Marrakech, Hinda Zahra would be at the top of our playlist. She also makes tunes that are rather perfect for noshing on petit fours in the sun, and if you’d like to head along to SFSC Melbourne on Sunday January 10th or Sydney on Saturday January 16th, a little birdie tells us there are still a few tickets left.
