INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Pick the felt piece that you want to use for the main base colour of the pouch. Cut a 2cm strip off the short end of the self-adhesive felt piece (to use later to decorate the pouch) and then stick this large self-adhesive piece to the other piece of felt.

2. Pin the pouch template onto this new doubly thick piece of felt and cut two copies.

3. Use the glasses template and cut out a pair of specs from a contrasting colour. Then cut out one of the lenses from your template and use this to cut two lens shapes from another contrasting colour – we managed to find white glitter felt for this piece!

4. Glue the lenses to the glasses shape using small dots of glue. You can then stick this to one of the main pouch pieces making sure it is centred.

5. Use some of the leftover self-adhesive felt and cut some small sprinkle-like shapes, then stick these randomly around the glasses. You can also cut out and glue some extra small circles to the corners of your frames.

6. Once the front is finished you can repeat the process for the back if you like, or keep it plain.

7. Now is the time to sew the two sides together. Face the outside edges in and pin into place. Using a needle and thread or a sewing machine, stitch a straight stitch around the two long sides and one short side using a 5mm seam allowance.

8. Turn the case inside out, using a pencil to poke the corners out if you need, and voila, you are done!
