drift off to first nations stories

This podcast uses an 80,000-year-old tradition to help you snooze.

While it’s no secret that getting a good night’s rest is important, sometimes it’s easier said than done. The team behind the podcast Dreamy, a collection of five First Nations sleep stories, understands how hard it can be for some folks to doze off.

Based on an 80,000-year-old oral tradition, Dreamy aims to help people disconnect from their devices while connecting to Country. The podcast is a collaboration between First Nations-led not-for-profit Common Ground and Snapchat. They have worked with artist Carmen Glynn-Braun (whose captivating works accompany each episode), psychologist Greta Bradman and five talented First Nations storytellers to make the podcast possible.

The only downside about Dreamy is that it works, meaning that you’ll likely miss out on hearing the ending of each fascinating story because you’ll be sound asleep. Tune into the podcast on the Dreamy website or Spotify.Journey to the Centre, by Carmen Glynn-Braun.
