Check out these aesthetically pleasing, plastic-free goodies that fund Aussie coast-cleaning missions.

When Dan and Nat – two nice types from Queensland – travelled all around Australia’s beaches, they were flabbergasted by the amount of pollution and rubbish that ends up on our lovely coast every day. They started picking up the junk they found, then started taking extra rubbish bags to fill up along the beach. Now their mission’s expanded to include a neat little online store where you can buy accessories to replace cheap, one-use plastic versions of things like drinking straws. Not only do their pretty wares reduce the amount of plastic we all use, they also go towards funding their ‘trash tribe’, a bunch of folks who love nothing better than a good coastal-cleaning and conservation mission. Together, they’ve collected more than 10 tonnes of rubbish from our beaches so far. Not a bad effort, hey!
