All proceeds from clothes sold through Dress for Dignity are donated to charity.

There’s no denying it: adding a swish new outfit to your wardrobe feels pretty darn great. Know what else feels pretty darn great? Giving back to people in need. Well, we’re here to tell you that as of March 1, you’ll be able to do both through the new online fashion marketplace, Dress for Dignity.

Designed to contribute to a more circular economy, the platform allows users to buy and donate pre-loved clothes. All proceeds from sales of the clothes go directly to Share the Dignity – an Australian charity that aims to end period poverty through the distribution of sanitary items.

To donate an item of clothing, all you need to do is list it on the Dress for Dignity website and, if it sells, post it to the lucky buyer. You’ll then receive a tax-deductible receipt and the warm and fuzzy feeling that comes after donating some of your dosh to a good cause. Plus, you’ll know that your clothing is actually going to someone who wants it, rather than sitting in the dusty corner of an op shop. Sounds good, eh? Sign up to buy or donate pre-loved duds over here.
