This felted wool scarf is inspired by Björk’s Swan Dress, and is entirely handmade by two crafty sisters.
In 2001, one of our favourite human beings, Björk, rolled up to the Oscars in the rather infamous Swan Dress – infamous, because a lot of people just didn’t get it, and suggested she was an oddball for wearing it. (In fairness, she did pretend to lay an egg on the red carpet.) Of course, in hindsight, we can all see it for the stroke of sartorial genius that it was, and indeed, the dress is still inspiring designs. Like this felted wool swan scarf from Celapiu, a Krakow-based accessories label run by sisters Celina and Maja. The duo specialise in handcrafting animal scarves from locally produced materials, and can whip up this number for you in white, black or grey.
