Bring your furry friend along for a day out in the sun!
Guess what, pooch lovers? We’re holding a dog walk! It’s part of our new 'mate dates' series – a bunch of events aimed at bringing you and your friends together for a jolly good time.
We’ll be kicking off the first dog walk in Melbourne on Saturday, September 7th (interstate folks, we love you and will be with you shortly). It’s completely free, so bring your furry friend along for a day out in the sun, or just show up dog-free and ready for a little wander down the Merri Creek Trail.
Joining us will be our pals from Dog Photog (they’ll be on hand to snap some swish, free portraits), along with dog-walk adventurers Tom & Captain who’ll be running activities to keep canines entertained. The legends from RSPCA Victoria will be along for all the fun as well!
Now, to the nitty-gritty details:
WHEN: Saturday, September 7th
WHEN: 9am arrival for a 9.30am departure
MEETING POINT: 394 St Georges Road, Fitzroy North, at the park next to Taiyo Sun cafe
ROUTE: Merri Creek Trail from Fitzroy North to CERES Community Environment Park and back (approximately 4km.)
When we arrive at CERES, there’ll be a chance for coffee and chats while you hang out with RSPCA or get your pooch papped by Dog Photog. Portrait sessions will be running for two hours, with limited spots available, so it’s first paw in, best dressed. Keep an eye out on the facebook event page for more details.
Oh, and just so we’re clear: you don’t need to be a pet owner to come along! We'd love to see your lovely face in the great outdoors. Plus, you’re most welcome to join the walk from any point in the loop and finish whenever you like, too. Catch you soon, pals.
