This fine knitted creature has finally emerged from a year-long hibernation.

Ah, the Christmas jumper. After almost a year in hibernation, this fine knitted creature reveals itself to us in December, rapidly multiplying in great numbers as the month progresses. Notice its kitsch patterns and lurid colouring – not an accident, rather a peculiar and tremendously successful feature to attract both the young and old alike. Although most commonly found in the Northern Hemisphere, these spirited Christmas jumpers can on the rare occasion be spotted down south, usually within the confines of an icy air-conditioned dwelling.  Should you decide to begin a lifelong friendship, start perhaps with this particular fellow (kind, wise and only $62).
