It sounds bloody lovely: a movie about a free-spirited widow (played by Emily Mortimer) who risks everything to set up a bookshop in a sleepy English seaside town in 1959, where the locals are more than a little narrow-minded. She becomes best mates with a local fellow (played by Bill Nighy) who’s sick of the the town’s stale atmosphere, and together, they bring about a mini-revolution. That’s The Bookshop, in a nutshell. The ace news: it’s out at the cinemas today (head this way to find sessions). The even more ace news: we’ve got 15 double passes up for grabs.
