these snaps are an ode to our vehicles and the lives we live in them
You can learn a lot about a person by their shoes, apparently. Well, the same goes for vehicles. Whether it’s the old pile of crap inherited from a grandparent or the two-wheeled speed-mobile a whole family can pack onto, the way we get from A to B might say more about who we are than we think. That’s what Martin Roemers’ Homo Mobilis series is getting at, anyway. The globe-trotting shutterbug has travelled near and far to capture ordinary folk with their extraordinary transportation modes of choice. From rickshaw pullers to beat-up race cars, the photographs reveal the myriad ways we travel through the world. And yes, there’s a spaceship (sort of). Spy the snaps on Martin’s website.
