We are drowning in content. Particularly in food, we mindlessly scroll through hundreds of pretty images daily. By shooting repulsive dishes in an editorial style, my work’s goal, first and foremost, is to make the viewer laugh after pausing and/or double-taking at what is really happening in the photo (which is normally posted within the familiar context of Instagram or an earnest blog post).
