Our Strictly Business Grant program, presented by Xero, could be just what you need to catapult your small business into the stratosphere (in a good way).
What would you do if you won a chunk of cash – just a cool $10,000 – to spend on your small business? Would you do 10 backflips in a row and then proceed to invest it in a new product line, redo your website or buy a fancy kettle for your office (tea is an important element of any successful business)? Maybe all of the above? You’re the kind of smart cookie we’re hoping will apply for this amazing opportunity!
The Strictly Business Grant presented by Xero is open to anyone who runs a small business – whether you’re a sole trader, have employees or maintain a side-hustle. You just have to have an official enterprise (not only an idea for a business).
The winner will receive $10,000 to invest in their small biz however they see fit, as well as a video feature on frankie’s website and social channels, and an appearance in our magazine! Two runners-up will receive $5000 each and coverage on the frankie website.
To enter, you’ll need to provide a detailed overview of your small business, including what makes your business unique, achievements to date, business goals, how you’ll invest the cash prize and customer testimonials or feedback.
Our judging panel is made up of clever folks including Amanda Hayman and Troy Casey, co-owners of Magpie Goose and Blaklash Creative; Anne Ascharsobi, director of social and environment impact at Xero; and our very own frankie editor, Emma Do (who has overseen the Strictly Business part of our site since the beginning).
The judges will take into account originality, creativity, user experience, business strategy, understanding of market needs and the likelihood of further success and business growth should your business win the grant. They’ll also look at how the cash prize will be used to grow a business.
