this year’s all about women festival is chock-full of good stuff
Get ready to for some excellent chinwags.
Let’s hear it for the All About Women festival! Now in its ninth year, the annual shindig brings together some of the world's best thinkers for a full day of talks, screenings and workshops. It’s all happening on March 7th at the Sydney Opera House, and the good news is that you can join in from anywhere thanks to a number of livestreamed events.
If you’re keen to put on your thinking cap and listen to some bloody good chinwags, this year’s program promises plenty. There’ll be discussions on the rise of online misogynists, the perils of white feminism, AI technology’s human faults, sex work, women filmmakers and heaps more rad stuff than you can poke a stick at.
Plus, there’s a talk from funny lady Caitlin Moran, a screening of Brazen Hussies and a bunch of workshops, including one on zine making, and another on Indigenous basket weaving. Phew! If all that sounds like your kind of thing, best to sort out your ticket over here.Snap by Prudence Upton
