Called The Craft Companion, it’s 400 pages of invaluable hands-on knowledge – a bit of a crafty encyclopedia, if you like. Not only are there a tonne of projects to keep your nimble fingers busy, each chapter looks at the evolution of craft, some mighty inspiring artists, and various techniques and tools to get you started – from basket-making to paper craft and weaving. Oh, and it looks rather spiffy, too.
We have local makers Ramona Barry and Rebecca Jobson to thank for the super-handy tome, and we’re also giving them an enthusiastic high-five because they’ve offered us a bunch to give away. If you’d like to get your mitts on a copy, just email us your name and address, and tell us which medium you’d most like to start experimenting with.
