This week in desserts that make you say 'holy heck!': a cake masquerading as a '70s shag rug. It's colourful, tastes like raspberry and vanilla, and costs a whole lot less than an actual shag rug. Sure, you'll probably spend a little longer in the kitchen going ham on the icing, but hoo boy is this one worth your time. The folks over at Preppy Kitchen took the liberty to whip up the recipe after being inspired by cake decorating queen Alana Jones-Mann. There's also a cupcake version if that's more your jam.
