Yarn, typography and pipe cleaners: can you think of a better way to spend your morning?

This penny-pinching DIY over on Bloesem is meant to be a rainy day activity for the little ones, but we reckon it's about time the big kids took over.

The idea is so simple, but when exicutioned correctly winds up with pretty nifty results (then again, poorly made yarn fonts might look more like two spools of thread had a jousting fight). Using only pipe cleaners, coloured thread and a bit of imagination, couldn't you imagine these spelling out lovely things on your mantelpiece? Click here for the instructions.
