craftyjapan's patterned masking tape

This is the kind of adhesive that needs to be delicately peeled away to preserve its loveliness – after all, slow and steady wins the tape.

One of the best parts of receiving a present is obliterating the wrapping in the excitement of getting to the goodies inside, but in the case of this Japanese masking tape, there's no ripping, tearing or snipping allowed. This is the kind of adhesive that needs to be delicately peeled away to preserve its loveliness – after all, slow and steady wins the tape.

Made by craftyjapan – an Aussie mum who has called Japan home for the past decade – these are sticky little rolls of artwork deserving of being a gift in their own right. Some of our favourite prints feature a lineup of African animals, lip-smacking doughnuts (!), the Very Hungry Caterpillar, and, of course, dancing bears sporting flower garlands. Now we just want to hit them with a growth ray so we can plaster our walls with the pretty patterns.
