contemporary australia: women

Contemporary Australia: Women opens this weekend at Queensland Art Gallery with a proverbial, colourful bang.

Queensland Art Gallery has put together a pretty spiffy sounding collection of over 30 Australian contemporary artists who happen to be chicks. There are a bunch of lasses in there who we're rather fond of (like Anastasia Klose, Natalya Hughes and Deborah Kelly), so it's extra exciting to see everybody coming together for one ultra-show. Contemporary Australia: Women opens this weekend with Rebecca Baumann's proverbial bang you can see to the left: artist talks, tours, performances, discussions, the whole tamale. You can see the full line up of artists and all of the rad things that are happening on their website. See you there!
